Shadows

Shadows come in varying shapes

Christ has come to name and trace

Dimly seen though in plain view

Brilliant lights that webs consume.

Many crouch or placed on shelves

Candles left behind to melt

Oh, but now He does arise

Strikes the match to re-ignite.

Precious are they unto Him

Cast aside by stately men

Rarely used and counted great

Oh, but that shall change today.

The first will soon become the last

Drop will shortly all thy masks

No disguise will hidden be

Christ will unveil truth indeed.

Set thy pose to now receive

Refreshing rains and outpourings

Christ has lit each flaming torch

From the shadows their coming forth.
