The Lord is My Light and My Salvation..
I turned the page of a little book I rarely pick up. Yet this day I grabbed it on my way out of the house. It was Friday and I was preparing for a big weekend of ministry. As I flipped the page I found myself staring at Psalm 27. I read it thru….and thought it beautiful. I flipped again…my eyes fell upon a new page and I realized I was staring again at the same Psalm 27. It was included in another section of the little book as well:)
Ahhh…the voice of the Lord…I know Him this way. It’s how He beckons me to memorize a critical passage He desires to be fresh in my heart. Of course He chose one fitting for my walk with Him. I have driven with this book as I put it into my heart… I have walked my house proclaiming Psalm 27 to the principalities that lurk and plan my demise. Yet in this…I know…I have victory with my gentle …yet fierce Savior.
Psalm 27:1-3 ,6
27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
