Little Foxes
Today I’m just sitting in our sweet building pondering and praying. It is my day off but I have felt such a stirring and the Holy Spirit seems to want to hover and talk.
I’ve noticed in myself, maybe you too, a strange stillness. A very real need for it. As if the Lord has placed His hand on me and said, “Stay.”
I find myself uninterested in “keeping up” with social media, algorithms, or the numerous off- topic messages and invitations social media likes to auto-send.
I really don’t care if my posts slow down and the algorithm decreases my “exposure.”
Seriously, I’m gonna speak when the Lord moves me to, nothing more and nothing less.
We are certainly being called into a season of pressing in, leaning closer, and grabbing the right wind thermal.
I ain’t mounting up on just any ole’ wind.
It’s got to be undergirded with power and the fragrance of Christ.
I feel much stirring. Perhaps you do as well. I hear the words, “batten down the hatches.”
Listen, it’s time to guard fiercely your assignments, your time, and shut the door on every demonic distraction.
Let’s say, “enough already” to the constant bombardment of sensory overload and demands for attention.
Hush the world around you and make room for Christ.
I’m not (nor are you) desperate for followers or likes.
Follow Jesus.
I couldn’t care less about mentions or the constant invitations entering my inbox to boost my YouTube analytics for more views and a “bigger platform.”
I am still a believer that God sends me at His will and He mentions my name in rooms I’ve yet to enter. We must refuse to be moved by the world’s ways.
I believe the heart of God is to return again to the first love. At some point you and I must get out of the rat race, off of the merry-go-round, and off of this exhausting hamster wheel.
As I sit here today I simply ask the Lord, “Are we continuing “here or there”. “What stays and what goes?”
Because if it’s done with Him then it’s done with me.
“What is trying to capture my attention in this hour to get me off my wall?”
God is calling us in some cases to change direction, expand our jurisdiction, and apply governmental rule in His Kingdom.
There will be some practical applications to put into place in order to fulfill your spiritual destiny.
It is time to go higher and release all that is less than what God envisions for us.
For me, I’ll offer you a practical example, I’ll be creating much cushion for personal privacy by cleaning up FB to carve strong boundaries into ministry. All things (“friends”) will be “pushed” into the appropriate place so I, too, am safe and wise.
(This is where I’m alerting you to follow the ministry page because my personal profile will no longer be accessible to the masses.)
Fellow Leaders: we must stop bowing to every demand that comes along. You have zero obligation to “many.” Protect your privacy. Protect your peace. Protect your personal information. Be so careful of “friends” who are not “friends.” Don’t allow safety breaches in your wall for the sake of increasing influence or meeting every need. You are not assigned to everyone. This is a false illusion created to “keep” you.
It is God’s heart for you to be full of wisdom and to walk in heavenly discernment. You were never expected, or commanded, to respond to every message that comes your way, allow strangers into your inner circles, or to cause a safety issue in the name of “ministry.”
I don’t care what the world is doing, what the “in” thing is. You are from a spiritual Kingdom and as a co-heir of royal heritage in Christ, you had best get some healthy boundaries before the enemy effectively takes you off task and destroys your wall.
Give the devil a door and he, surely, will take it.
I would suggest you seek the Lord also on what you need to put into place to “batten down your hatches.”
Because, listen, it’s about to get busy in busting up Hell and you cannot afford a constant bombarding of your life and mind. Guard your heart now. What changes do you need to make to “shore this up?”
If you want to advance the Kingdom, then wisdom must be applied and anchors put in place. Close all windows and doors that God has not opened.
Check your heart on people-pleasing to see where you’ve allowed any disturbances that are robbing you of peace and precious time with Jesus.
It’s a “laser-focused” mission in this hour whereby Hell will be sorely afraid of the faces who shall be set like flint for the cause of Christ Jesus.
Let us remove every distraction sent to destroy the vineyard. These are some of the little foxes that you can’t afford not to catch.
Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom.
Song of Solomon 2:15
