Set Sail
There is a season whereby God has already given you His nod to take the land.
I’m a big believer in “naming the animal, Adam.”
Adam didn’t have to go ask God every time a new animal showed up. Nope. He was already given the authority to call that thing by name and move on.
He didn’t have to get himself all uptight about making a wrong decision…God had already given him permission for the assignment.
Some of us are sweating decisions that God has already given His blessing to. Thus, instead of taking the land for the King, we hem and haw until the land is taken by the enemy.
At some point we must get off the fence of a thing and execute that which God has called forth.
He often gives us plenty of leeway to navigate. I’ve had to go in faith many a time with a good old fashion “trial and error” and once I made the step, I knew whether God was in it or not.
There were plenty of times that He was not, honestly, but I was ever so grateful to see the “No” just as much as I would have been to see a “yes.”
Paul navigated from town to town on mission to preach the gospel. We see that once he headed to a place there were times the Holy Spirit forbid his preaching there. But listen, Paul didn’t wait for the permission He already had. He just went trusting the Lord was ordering steps, opening and shutting doors, and being sure that His word would be performing its job.
Where is the remnant who will set sail in this season?
Push away from the dock, friend.
He is a good, good Father who never leaves or forsakes us.
He is for you and not against you.
Be sure that He is guiding you with His eye upon you.
You can make a step and trust in His lovingkindness to redirect any missteps you make.
…but taking leave of them and saying, “I will return to you again if God wills,” he set sail from Ephesus.
Acts 18:21
