There is an unsettled place of pain hiding within your heart. This morning the Lord shows me that His eye is gazing upon it with compassion.
His counsel is ready for you if you will invite Him in.
It’s been a place you’ve protected from Him and from others. You’ve acted as if it’s not there but the truth is that it’s what is currently making your decisions for you. It is also what makes you feel “stuck.”
That unsettled place of pain is what is leading you, and honestly, it’s leading you in the wrong direction.
Your need to be seen has trumped the voice of God and His desires in this hour. You’ve rationalized it with spiritual cover-ups and the “God said’s.” But God didn’t say. It was that unsettled place of pain speaking.
Pain can provide a fierce cover-up whereby the devil keeps a cloak over it resisting its exposure.
Thus, the healing never comes.
In some ways you’re numb. Am I right?
Numb to your own pain.
Numb to the pain of others.
You’re even numb to God’s calling on your life.
You’re going through the motions but there’s no fire left. Your oil has run dry.
If you’re honest with yourself those sweet eyes of yours are beginning to fill with stinging tears as you read this because you know God is speaking directly to YOU.
His love for you is too deep to let this continue. He sees the trail of mistakes and the repeated behaviors that keep you bound. You keep trying “this” and trying “that” but the truth is…God just isn’t in any of it.
You don’t want the “hard” anymore so you’ve rejected what God has actually said.
You chose in error assuming the “hard” would be harder than wrestling with God. So, He has to bring you to a place of surrender for your own good.
Needing to be seen is over-rated but innately a need for every human heart. He placed that desire within you but that need can only be met fully by Christ, Himself.
I pray so much you will lift your hands to Heaven and whisper, “You can have that unsettled place of pain now. I’m ready.”
Then watch what God will do with that numbness of yours.
You might just feel something begin to bloom again in that once “unsettled place” of pain and see a glorious dam break pouring out the most beautiful, “living water” you’ve ever seen.
