Healing.
It’s a process.
It’s laborious.
Meaning, it’s work.
It’s work for you and it’s work for me.
Your work might consist of releasing a waterfall of tears after processing a pain that has gripped you your whole life.
Your work might be processing why there’s a sin pattern because many times we’ve got something going on in the background sending us back to that place again and again. Somewhere a wound is talkin’.
Your work might consist of some need for a deep forgiveness where you need to get raw and real about what you’ve been feeling so Christ can come heal that thing and you can walk in freedom.
Healing, is never effortless.
My work likely consists of hours of listening so that I can hear Holy Spirit pinpoint a problem in need of prayer.
It’s a forward then backwards kind of work. We turn up soil, uproot what needs to go, plant the goodness of God, and slowly create a lovely garden.
My work might also look like sudden phone calls to de-escalate a situation or to deal with a tormenting, demonic spirit.
My work will often look like a constant hugging of your neck reminding you that nobody here is gonna ever leave you all alone.
My work will also be done in a very secret place that you’ll never see where my own tears will pour onto the floor as I fight for you in heavenly places.
Healing.
It’s always work.
And…
It’s a partnership between
You. Me. And Jesus.
