Last night I had a dream. It was a rather long one but there’s one scene that is totally worth sharing.
I was sitting in a room with a few women and we were talking about “staying in your lane.”
Then suddenly I said these words, “Time is a tattletale.”
Meaning, time will bear fruit. Some fruit, abundant fruit, or no fruit.
Often in my past I’d find myself straying from the “lane” God assigned to me. I would either watch others and decide “I can do that” which never produced any fruit mind you, or I would get into my flesh and “help God” finding myself slowly moving away from God’s called “lane” for me.
Time will always be a tattletale as to whether I’m in the right lane or not.
Sometimes I had the right lane and the wrong location. Sometimes, I tweaked God right out of my lane. Other times, I was nowhere near my lane because I was silently shadowing others instead of following Jesus.
God has a way of bringing things crashing down when He needs to in order for us to get back to the “lane” He has appointed.
Moral of this story: Stop running in other people’s lanes. It’s not becoming and you’ll just get exhausted. What they carry, you likely do not. If you’ll get into your God-ordained lane and RUN, you’ll see the place God has anointed you for and there will be abundant fruit.
If you have no passion for the hurting hearts, please don’t get into healing. No matter what form of healing you try to step into it’ll go nowhere because healing is a messy work every which way you go.
If you’re not a God-gifted shepherd, please don’t try to tend sheep, you’ll murder, or neglect, them.
If you’re aim is some financial gain, go right on ahead but that motive is gonna kill all ministry in its wake. It’s an unclean thing indeed and you’re gonna need a heart adjustment.
When fruit bears witness it won’t be about money, influence, or numbers. It will be about peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, love, and self control.
Any other motive well, like I said…
Time will be a tattletale.
