I see many who struggle with accepting the reality of “what is.”
Whether it’s a marriage that ended or a life full of struggles you wish didn’t exist, we can get stuck in the inability to accept reality.
The light of Jesus exposes all darkness and He is all about the truth of even our present reality.
Accepting the “what is” is very important for your heart healing.
Many fall in love with “potential” that ends up not being what we had hoped. If we stay in hopes of a thing that never changes after adequate effort, well, we become bound by “potential” because we are denying the reality of “what is.”
This can include relationships, dreams, ministry endeavors, etc.
However, we can learn to be content in all things as Paul shares with us in Philippians 4 knowing that God is sovereign. In this place of rest we learn that waiting is still moving forward and every season is appointed for our ultimate good.
